Colleges: USF Men picked to finish second in Big East Red division


Defending conference champion South Florida has been picked to finish second in the Big East Men’s soccer Red Division behind St. John’s in the Big East coach’s preseason poll.

South Florida, which was ranked No.11 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America preseason Division I poll, received one first place vote to put it ahead of Louisville. Coaches were not permitted to vote for their own team in the poll.

St. John’s garnered 13 first-place votes to finish with 109 points, while Notre Dame was voted the favorite in the Blue division, earning 12 first-place votes. Connecticut and Georgetown rounded out the top three in the Blue division.
