College Women's Matchday: Saint Leo at Webber International

NEED TO KNOW: The Lions, picked to win the Sunshine State Conference, open their season on the road. Saint Leo got a comfortable 3-1 win in the corresponding fixture last season, Hannah Beard, Chrissy Darwell and Francesca Williams finding the net then.

All three of those players return to the team, Beard as the reigning Player and Offensive Player of the Year. She scored 16 goals and added 12 assists last season, giving her a conference-high 44 points. The Lions will look for a similar output in this, her senior season.
One question that will need to be answered is who will replace All-SSC goalkeeper Lauren Hudson, with sophomore Kelcee Mai and freshman Cristina Coca, a former Bloomingdale standout, competing for the position.
