College Matchday: South Florida at Virginia Tech

NEED TO KNOW: No.8 South Florida hits the road for the second time this season as it travels to face a solid Virginia Tech squad.

The Bulls pulled out a 1-0 win against Valparaiso on Tuesday night thanks to Bernardo Anor’s overtime header to move to 3-0-0 on the season. The Bulls will need to capitalize better on the chances they create against the Hokies (1-1-1), who earned their first win of the season against Wisconsin-Milwaukee last Sunday.

The Hokies missed out on the NCAA Tournament last season after reaching the final four in 2007. They are now without Patrick Nyarko, however, who was drafted by the Chicago Fire of MLS with the No.7 pick in this year’s draft.
