The University of Tampa’s Dan Ingvarsson was named to the Daktronics NCAA Division II All-America team, leading a group of four Spartans honored this season.
Ingvarsson provided not only stability in the center of the Spartans defense with Kyle Williams, but was also a key to the Spartans offense with his free kicks. Ingvarsson scored five goals, and added seven assists, primarily from set pieces as the Spartans reached the Elite Eight of the NCAA Division II tournament.
Also honored were forward Pascal Milien, who was named to the second team after leading the Spartans with 12 goals and 31 points for the season, and Lister Warren, who had 11 goals to be named to the third team. Goalkeeper Ryan Thompson, who was previously named the Sunshine State Conference Goalkeeper of the Year, was an honorable mention.
