Preps: Newsome, Berkeley, Tampa Prep take aim at final four

The road to Tampa comes to an end tonight, with Newsome, Berkeley Prep and Tampa Prep all looking to reach the girls state final four at the University of Tampa's Pepin Stadium with victories in their respective region finals tonight.

The Tampa Tribune's Jarrett Guthrie takes a look at what all three sides will face on Friday night in this preview.

Defending Class 5A champion Palm Harbor University will look to continue its pursuit of a title in Class 6A when it travels to face Apopka, while Hudson will try to advance past perrenial foe Eustis. The Panthers have eliminated the Cobras in the past two seasons, both in one-goal games including a 4-3 victory in the region semifinals last season.

As another reminder, if you can't make it to West Palm Beach tonight for Tampa Prep's game against King's Academy, you can follow the Tampa Bay Soccer Blog at twitter.com/tbsoccerblog for live game updates from 6 p.m. tonight.
